Article 11: Articles Of Faith

We Believe: In the King James 1611 Version as the authority of God’s Word.

We Believe: In the verbal, plenary, inspiration of the Bible, as the true Word of God, revealed by the Holy Spirit inerrant, infallible and God-Breathed. It is the only infallible Rule of Christian Faith and Conduct.

We Believe: God is Triune: God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit; Co-Equal, Co-existent and Co-Eternal. Only separated as their function in their office. (Eph.1)

We Believe: and accept without question the Bible teaching of creation. The fall of man. The miracles of the Old and New Testaments. The Deity of Jesus Christ. His Virgin Birth. His atonement on the Cross.

We Believe: that the term “marriage” has only one meaning and that is; marriage sanctioned by God, which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. That God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other. That God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of marriage between a man and a woman. That any form of sexual immorality, such as adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexual conduct, beastiality, incest, pornography or any attempt to change one’s sex or disagreement with one’s biological sex, is sinful and offensive to God. That God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sins, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. That every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect and dignity. hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accordance with scripture nor the doctrines of the church.

(Gen. 2:24; Lev. 18: 1-30; Rom. 1: 26-32; 1 Cor. 5: 1-2, 6: 9, 7:10; 1 Thess. 4: 1-8; Heb. 13:4; Eph. 5:22-23)

We Believe: that salvation through the Holy Spirit enters, seals, and baptizes one the moment he is BORN in the family of God through faith in Jesus Christ and He endures, guides, teaches, sanctifies, empowers, and keeps the believer eternally secure.

We Believe: that our Lord Jesus Christ ascended bodily into Heaven and is now seated on the right hand of God as our Mediator, Priest, Advocate and Intercessor, (1 Tim. 2:5; Heb. 4:14; 1 John 2:1; Luke 23:34)

We Believe: that every born-again person, is a member of the body of Christ, and that Christ will come for His Living Saints and the dead in Christ at the Rapture. After the Great Tribulation ( The 7 years following the rapture) Christ will come with His Saints to confine the (anti-christ), cast satan into the bottomless pit, execute judgement upon ungodly nations and establish His earthly Millennial Kingdom.

We Believe: that Heaven is the abode of God, a place of eternal joy and fellowship with the Lord and the eternal home of all who have been washed by the Blood of the Lamb.

We Believe: that death and hell (the place prepared for the devil and his angels shall be cast in the Lake of Fire for all eternity) (Rev. 20:13-15); also all those whose names are not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

We Believe: the church is the Body of Christ, with Jesus Christ as the Head (Eph. 5: 22,23), and it is composed of all born again believers united under the supervision of the Holy Spirit (Eph. 4: 3-6; Gal. 3: 28,29).

We Believe: the ordinances are: (a) Baptism by Immersion, which is obligatory upon the born again believer, (not to complete salvation, but as a step of obedience) and (b) the Lord’s supper which is to be observed by all born again believers as a memorial of Christ broken body and shed blood.

We Believe: every Christian should strive to be “conformed to the image of Christ” (Rom. 8:29) therefore, We Believe in separation from the world and many of it’s amusements including appearance and actions (I John 2:15; 3:2,3)

We Believe: that the gift of tongue’s as well as, the other “sign gifts” ended with the Apostles. We Believe that the sign gifts were given by God to validate the gospel, but when the Canon of Scripture was complete, they were no longer necessary (1Cor. 13:8; 1 Cor. 13:12).

We Believe: that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead and that when a person trust Christ as Savior, he is immediately baptized into the Body of Christ by the Spirit and is “sealed” by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption (Eph. 4:30).

We believe: that there are many “fillings” of the holy Spirit in a believers life, but there is only one baptism which takes place at the moment of salvation (Eph. 5: 18;1, Cor. 12: 12,13).

ARTICLE III-CHURCH COVENANT

Having been led, as we believe by the Spirit of God, to receive the lord Jesus Christ our Savior and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one Body in Christ.

We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness and comfort; to promote it’s prosperity and spirituality; to sustain it’s worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully, regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor and the spread of the Gospel through all nations.

We also engage to maintain family and secret devotion: to religiously educate our children, to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances, to walk circumspectly in the engagements and exemplary in our deportment, to avoid all lies, backbiting and excessive anger, to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage, tobacco and harmful drugs, and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the Kingdom of our Savior.

We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love, to remember each other in prayer, to aid each other in sickness and distress, to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech, to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay.

We more over engage that when we remove from this place, we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church where we can carry out this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
